This is the parade.rest change log — short notes on what gets added or fixed on the site, written for the people who use it.

Why this page exists

parade.rest is a small site curated by hand. New resources go through a read by a human before they land in the directory; new stories are read before they're published. This page is where we tell you what changed and when.

How to use it

If you noticed a hotline number that no longer works, a story that should be retracted, or a resource that has shut down or moved, write to reach-us@parade.rest. The fastest fixes get into the next entry on this page.

Recent

• Site updates page added. This page now exists. Future entries are added to the top.
• Sitemap.xml live. Search engines can now discover every public resource and story on the site.
• Reading list expanded. Twelve curated veteran-focused books with short hooks and Bookshop.org links. A portion of every Bookshop sale through this site funds independent bookstores.

Honest disclosures

• parade.rest is a Bookshop.org affiliate (ID 124112). When you buy through links on the Reading page, a small share of the sale funds the site at no extra cost to you.
• This site is not a healthcare provider, not affiliated with the VA, and not affiliated with the US Department of Defense.
• We do not generate writing with a language model. Stories on the site were written by veterans. Resource summaries were written by the same person who reviews them.
