Team Rubicon
Veteran-led disaster response organization — channels military skills into communities recovering from natural disasters.
Team Rubicon deploys veterans and first responders to communities affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Volunteers (called Greyshirts) provide mucking-out, debris removal, chainsaw operations, medical care, and rebuild support after hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and wildfires. Beyond service, the model gives transitioning veterans renewed purpose, a team, and a chain of command in their first years out.
